Stephen's journey included educational success at Covington Catholic High School and a fulfilling career with Delta Airlines. Known for his exuberance, Stephen took delight in life's simple joys, from camping under the stars to tending his yard and savoring beer festivals. An enthusiastic sports fan, he found camaraderie in supporting UK football, basketball, and the Cincinnati Bengals, creating lasting memories with loved ones during game days.
Above all, Stephen's heart belonged to his wife of 40 years, Kelly Kuhnell, who shared in his adventures and formed the cornerstone of a close-knit family. Together, they raised their cherished children, Evan and Abby, and created a home filled with love and support, a testament to their enduring bond.
In remembrance of Stephen, he is survived by Kelly, Evan, and Abby, as well as his sisters Georgette Seitz and Jeanette Roland. He held dear the memory of his late brother, Earl John Kuhnell, and parents, Earl and Annette Kuhnell, whose influence continued to guide his family bond.
Visitation and a Mass of Christian Burial in honor of Stephen's life will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at St. Timothy Church in Union, Kentucky, to celebrate the remarkable individual he was.
