The Kentucky History and Genealogy Conference will take place on August 8 and 9, 2025, at the Erlanger Branch of the Kenton County Public Library. The event is open to those interested in family history research and Kentucky’s past.
Attendees can visit a vendor hall featuring local libraries, genealogy societies, authors, and experts. Resources on genealogy research and books about Kentucky history will be available. Workshops led by experts are scheduled throughout the conference, covering topics such as joining lineage societies and understanding archives.
Dave Schroeder, Executive Director of the Kenton County Public Library, will deliver the opening keynote session titled "Where Goetta Meets Grits: Defining Northern Kentucky." Participants will have opportunities to ask questions during these sessions.
Networking is encouraged among attendees who share an interest in history and genealogy. The conference also offers a chance to learn more about Kentucky’s historical events and figures.
Special themed buttons related to genealogy and Kentucky history will be available at the Kenton County Public Library table while supplies last.
