All library locations will be closed on July 4th. However, there are various family events planned earlier in the week leading up to Independence Day. Library patrons are encouraged to check out ebooks and audiobooks from Libby while waiting for the fireworks.

Several programs have been organized. From June 24 to July 3, Independence Day Buttons can be made at Covington all day. On July 1, a petting zoo event called Depot Days will take place at Erlanger Railroad Depot Park from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

On July 2, the Art Club will host a session on Zines at Independence from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Preschool Storytime is scheduled for Latonia on the same day from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Later that evening, a Legendary Lab event focusing on Mermaids and Message in a Bottle will occur in Erlanger from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Finally, a Movie Matinee featuring "Independence Day" is set for July 3 in Covington from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
