Summer reading program offers prizes for all ages

Summer reading program offers prizes for all ages
Dave Schroeder, Library Director | Kenton County

Embarking on a summer reading quest is encouraged by tracking all forms of reading from June 1 to July 31. Participants can track their progress using a paper log available at library branches or through the Beanstack app. Various prizes are offered throughout the summer based on reading milestones.

Readers earn a vinyl sticker after five days, a book after ten days, and either a t-shirt or canvas tote after fifteen days of reading. Continued participation allows readers to win additional prizes for every five extra days of reading, as well as entries into grand prize giveaways of $50 Visa gift cards at the end of the summer.

Adults and teens have an opportunity to earn an insulated water bottle or canvas tote after fifteen days of reading. They also qualify for entries into grand prize giveaways with $100 Visa gift cards awarded at summer's end. Each additional five days of reading provides another entry into these giveaways.
