Public library promotes health and wellness activities for spring
Dave Schroeder Library Director | Kenton County Public Library

The month of May brings warmer weather and sunnier skies, encouraging thoughts of physical and mental health improvement. The activities include getting outside for walks, hikes, working in the yard, or simply relaxing at a favorite park. While at the park, visitors can read or listen to a book using the Libby and Hoopla apps. The library offers the latest bestsellers as well as self-improvement books. All ebooks and audiobooks in Hoopla are always available, ensuring there is no waiting.

The library also offers Health and Wellness programs, such as yoga, Zumba, and tai chi at various branches. Hoopla provides Health & Fitness videos for checkout, allowing individuals to work out at home. The Get Healthy U BingePass has expanded its collection to include Core Power and Power Pilates.

This spring and summer, individuals are encouraged to create new healthy habits for their mental and physical well-being. The library suggests exploring some books to help get started.

"Health and Wellness Reads" encourages learning more about health and wellness at the library.
