Ludlow - Joyce K. Carf, 70, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at her residence. Born on December 11, 1954, in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, Carf was a beacon of kindness and generosity in her community. She worked as a Fulfillment Associate at Gibson Greeting Cards, where she was admired for her dedicated work ethic and amiable personality. Later, she devoted her time to caring for animals at Protect 4 Paws Animal Shelter, exemplifying her love for animals.

Carf's greatest pride was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters Tonya Ratliff, Kayla Varney, stepdaughter Mendy Hudson, stepson Jimmy Carf, Jr., cherished grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Known for her selflessness, Carf was always ready to offer a listening ear and wise counsel to those she encountered. Her interests included supporting the University of Kentucky and the Cincinnati Bengals, as well as indulging in hobbies like cooking, camping, and travel.

Predeceased by her husband Jimmy Carf, sisters Joann Combs and Barbara Slover, and faithful pet Mookie; Carf's memory will be lovingly cherished by family, friends, and all who were touched by her warmth and generosity. Visitation services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, with interment at Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky on February 26, 2025.

Joyce K. Carf will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness and compassion will endure in the hearts of those who knew her.
