Libby provides ebooks and eaudiobooks that function like regular library items. Users can place holds if items are checked out and will receive alerts when it's time to renew or return them. The platform ensures that items automatically disappear after the checkout period ends.
Hoopla offers an extensive collection of e-books, e-audiobooks, music, and movies for immediate checkout with no wait times. It is highlighted as a favored app due to its convenience.
Recent favorites from Hoopla include works by Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan, Sarah J. Maas with her dramatized audiobook "A Court of Thorns & Roses," Lisa Kleypas's "Devil in Winter," Emily Henry's "Funny Story," Rebecca Yarros's "Iron Flame," Ali Hazelwood's "Two Can Play," and a selection of Hallmark romcoms such as Bridget Jones's Diary.
Kanopy allows users to stream movies and TV series using their library card. Current love stories available include BBC’s Pride & Prejudice, Titanic, 13 Going on 30 featuring Mark Ruffalo, Jane Eyre with its theme of invisible strings, and Flashdance known for its leg warmers.
