Philip Lee Walls, 50, a resident of Ludlow and retired Army 1SG, passed away on January 1, 2025, at UC Medical Center. Philip's life was defined by his service to his country and community, marked by his unwavering kindness, compassion, and dedication to helping others.

Enlisting in the United States Army in 1993 as a diesel mechanic, Philip's career included three tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, earning him numerous awards, including the Bronze Star and Joint Service Commendation with Valor. A highly decorated soldier, Philip's commitment to veterans continued post-retirement, reflected in his involvement with various veteran organizations.

Beyond his military service, Philip served as a Police Officer in TX and worked as a Maintenance Technician at Wayfair, Erlanger. Known for his generosity, Philip often brightened the lives of those in his community, especially children, with acts of kindness without seeking recognition.

Philip's love for laughter, sports, and the outdoors shone through in his life. A fan of Cincinnati Bengals, Reds, Kentucky Basketball, and the Ludlow Panthers, Philip found joy in fishing, camping, golfing, and spending time with his dogs, Hank and Sunni.

He is survived by his wife Amber; his children Marine First Lieutenant Madison Walls, Philip Walls Jr., step-children Sadie O'Brien, Brogan O'Brien; mother Pamela Walls; brother Joshua Walls; sisters Jennifer Yelton, Rebecca Wright, Stacy Finke, Karen Klaene; nieces, nephews; mourning his father Conrad Lee Walls.

A graveside service will be held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown on January 10, 2025, followed by a life celebration event at Ludlow Vets Hall. In honor of Philip, donations to the Disabled American Veterans are appreciated, a cause close to his heart. Funeral flowers or memorial trees can be ordered in his memory through the flower store.
